The project will fill the blank of engine production in Inner Mongolia and also end the history of not making engines by heavy-duty truck makers in Inner Mongolia,

Covering an area of 306,666 square meters, the engine project has a total investment of ¥1.51 billion ($242 million) which is jointly injected by Beiben, Baotou Beifang Chuangye Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Y&C Engine Co., Ltd.

Beiben signed a cooperation agreement with Guangxi Yuchai on May 30 to establish the Baotou Beiben Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd. for heavy-duty truck engine production.
